This Christian is about to get sketchy… in my sketch book!

It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. Starting with the grittiness of a broken world and exploring through comic books the gateway to grace that is Jesus Christ!

My name is John Bursell. I am a christian artist living and raising my son in Montana. I have worked in Denver, Minneapolis and now in Libby trying to impact my customers with positive interactions. I have mopped floors and managed stores, and everything in between. Creating everything from paintings, poetry, photography, graphic design and culinary dishes I have also taught many art classes. I love Jesus, Mountain Dew and loud music. Currently I am funneling all my energy into my comic book series “My Walk”.

The reason the books hosted on this site are free downloadable PDFs is very simple: The message is more important than the money. The Apostle Paul worked jobs while preaching the good news of Jesus Christ. He claimed that the reason was no one could attack his motives for his ministry. This is all produced for the Love of God and His people.

“For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.”

1 Thessalonians 2:9-12

CORE VALUES!

1. God: I believe there is one, and only one, living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being; He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe…The eternal, triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

2. Salvation: I believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. 

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

3. Scripture: I believe the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.

4. Commission: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
